What is BikeSafe 2012?

The 2012 National BikeSafe show is gearing up to take place once again at The Heritage Motor Centre in Gaydon over the weekend of 28 and 29 April as the motorcycle season gets in full swing.

National BikeSafe is a great day out for riders of all ages and experience, enthusiasts and families alike featuring everything from the chance to have your riding assessed through by riding out with police motorcyclists to demo bikes and trade stands for you to buy the latest accessories.

You can even try out the latest models from a host of manufacturers and dealers there on the day and best of all, the event itself is free to enter making it even more appealing.

Deputy Chief Constable David Griffen, ACPO Roads Policing Motorcycle Safety Lead said: “National BikeSafe aims to reduce motorcycle casualties across the UK by improving rider behaviour through further training and are open to riders of all ages regardless of how long they have been riding.

“The national event aims to promote the BikeSafe scheme to a wider audience by attracting riders from across the country over the two days at the end of April and gives them the chance to experience the scheme first hand with a view to returning home and booking on to an event hosted by their local Police force.

“The National BikeSafe Show is a true family event which offers a little something for enthusiasts of all ages and won’t even hurt your wallet as its free to enter.”

This years events is gearing up to take place on the weekend of 28 and 29 April 2012. Running from 10am – 4pm at The Heritage Motor Centre, Junction 12, M40. Entry into the event is free. Museum admission prices apply.

If you ride a motorbike or scooter this is the show for you, but even if you don’t its still worth a visit as there’s plenty to see and do for everyone.
To take part in a ride out all you need to do is simply bring your licence (both parts if it’s a photo one).

You can even try some of the hottest new models from some of the manufacturers attending over the weekend.
